WILLIAM CURTIS WAGNER 1887-1934
William Curtis Wagner was born at Watsontown on March 31, 1887 to Jacob H. and Mary (Follmer) Wagner.
Mr. Wagner was married on November 28, 1912 to Marguerite Fisher of Union County. Mrs. Wagner was the daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth (McCormick) Fisher and was born on January 22, 1888 in Kimball, Nebraska. They had the following children: William Curtis, Jr., b. August 17, 1913; Ned Follmer, b. March 11, 1916; Mary Elizabeth, b. November 18, 1917; and Elmer Sherman, b. May 12, 1919. The Wagner’s were members of Trinity German Reformed Church at Watsontown. Mr. Wagner was head of the Watsontown Door and Sash Company. They lived at 901 Ash Street.
Curtis was a member of Watsontown Lodge No. 401 having been made a Master Mason on June 2, 1909. His membership was suspended on December 6, 1932.
W. Curtis Wagner served as Chief Burgess from 1918 to 1921.
Mr. Wagner died on November 23, 1934. After her husband’s death, Mrs. Wagner and her children joined the First Presbyterian Church in Watsontown, the date was July 19, 1937. Mrs. Wagner died on October 3, 1953. They are both buried in Watsontown Cemetery.
