WILLIAM DEAN MCFARLAND 1880-1958
William Dean McFarland, son of John Z. and Mary A. McFarland was born on August 29, 1880. He worked as a rural mail carrier.
W. Dean McFarland was elected Chief Burgess on November 8, 1921 and served from 1922 to 1925. Dean then served on Town Council from 1940 to 1943.
Dean was a member of Watsontown Lodge No. 401 having been made a Master Mason on January 26, 1915. He joined the First Presbyterian Church of Watsontown on April 8, 1934.
W. Dean McFarland died in 1958 and is buried at Watsontown Cemetery.
